It was manufactured by McCord Radiator & Manufacturing Co. of Detroit, Michigan. The lot number is concealed beneath the interior's field repaint; however, judging by the earlier style fixed loops, it likely dates from mid 1941 to mid 1942. The helmet retains an original olive drab field repaint, cork texture, and field applied OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps with brass
