Victorian Amethyst Mourning Brooch 1842A stunning early Victorian brooch with a mourning locket to the reverse. The piece is engraved to the back Given in rememberence of Mrs Mary Holmes died Jan 1842 . 1817. The reverse contains a glazed compartment containing white hair. The Brooch is set with foil backed Amethysts and pearls in collet settings. 2. 9cm in width and 2. 7cm tall. Testing as 14ct gold cased. Nice clean condition. Front is in beautiful condition some wear to the reverse.

This is my 2 year old Golden Retriever's new favorite toy! She loves pulling out her "babies," and any other smaller toys we put in there for her.
