The Burgundian varieties had found a home in Santa Barbara County. With a mantle of hard, siliceous chert gravel covering deep, well drained soils, it is a perfect medium for Pinot and Chardonnay. My dog has played with this pickle for a long time. Very durable. Has teeth marks but she is unable to tear it apart. Be careful where your dog leaves it because it easily rolls.
