This Korean bulgogi flavor is similar to Japanese teriyaki sharing an ideal balance between salty tangy soy sauce and sweet sugar perhaps bulgogi more garlic prominent and teriyaki more ginger. Nice to have a difference and enjoy both versions of barbeque flavors. Koreans can enhance the flavor with sesame oil and Japanese with miso.
