It features a green painted steel buckle and blackened brass United Carr rivets, approximately dating its production from mid 1943 to mid 1944. Interestingly, chinstraps with black rivets normally have curved cam levers. This example, however, has the earlier flat cam lever seen on chinstraps produced during 1942 and was likely leftover stock when the rivets were
